Germs Hate A Copper
Sink
A copper sink is a tremendous deterrent to the
volume of problems that can result from a sink turning into a germ
farm.
People are generally health conscious and
rightly so. Living in an environment where germs survive and thrive
is not exactly the type of environment that anyone should wish to
live in. To understand how serious germs are, the vast majority of
the deaths in the Civil War and World War One derived from disease
spread from germs in the very unsanitary condition of the
battlefield. While it is true that no one’s home will ever find
itself as germ ridden as a battlefield, the fact remains that
millions of germs that cause a whole slew of different maladies can
find themselves growing out of control in a home that lacks
cleanliness. Now, while frequent cleaning is a wise idea,
preventive measures are even wiser. After all, why not eliminate
the germs before they can grow? One way to do this is to have a
copper sink installed.
On a baseline level, copper is no friend to
germs and bacteria so a copper sink would make life very difficult
for germs that wished to propagate themselves. Copper, for whatever
reason, repels germs from growing. Because of this, a copper
surface will greatly reduce the number of germs that would develop
if the surface were a different metal or material. Considering that
a sink can end up being a literal breeding ground for germs, a
copper sink would reduce the propensity for germs in the home by an
incredible margin.
